New Recording Booth
There have been several projects in my queue that demand acoustic recording, but up until now, I haven't been able to make much noise in the suite where the studio is located.
I recently got a recording booth, and without haste, I set it up in the studio. I chose for my first test subject the noisiest instrument I could find: the melodica. A member of the accordion family, the melodica is a shrill, free-reed instument that can fill a small room with terrific echoes, so I thought it would be a good test of the booth.
So here, for all to see, my first shot at recording in the booth, playing along with karaoke on the melodica, in B-major. Great Godzooky.
I got the booth through DrumPerfect.com. For anyone who is setting up a studio of their own and are looking for recording isolation products, I highly recommend them.
